Mountain Elementary School Recycling Challenge
Different
grade levels at Black Mountain Elementary School have begun to recycle
to reduce the amount of solid waste sent to the landfill. The fifth
grade came up with a plan to recycle paper and plastic and to collect
data on how we are doing.
Some
classes produced Inspiration Concept Maps to summarize some of the
ideas they learned about. Use the concept map to answer the following:
- How
do animals use recycled material for building?
- What
does a worm have to do with recycling?
- Where do
decomposers fit into the food chain and why are they so important?
