The following criteria will be used to evaluate the different parts of this task. Your teacher may adjust points as needed to reflect her needs as well as include feedback on criteria from you. All of your work should reflect adequate time on task and a quality effort.

Evaluation Part 1 - Identify the waste stream in your school.

Students should create a drawing or drawings that:

Evaluation Part 2 - Create a recycling plan that will modify the waste stream to help your school recycle.

Students should create a plan that has:

Goals clearly listed. The goals should overview what materials will be recycled and what the impact of recycling will have on your school. It should also include how one will know if the plan is effective.

Detail on how recycling will be set up in each area of the school (classroom, office, etc). This detail should include steps on what materials will be needed, who will be responsible for setting up each area, and when each step will be accomplished.

Detail on how recycling materials will be collected each week, where it will go, and who will be responsible.

Detail on how you will collect data on how much material is being recycled in each area.

Detail on the kinds of graphs you will create from the data. These graphs will be used in the final presentation on the effectiveness of recycling at the school and should be as detailed as possible.
