Can
you come up with a recycling plan to help your school recycle?
You don't often think about what you throw away. As a result, many
materials that can be recycled end up going into the garbage. In
this part of The Recycle Challenge you will answer the following
questions:
-
What
is your school's current system for dealing with garbage? What
parts of this garbage are recyclable?
-
What
can students do to help reduce the amount of recyclable material
thrown away?
-
What
does a graph of the amount of garbage your school throws out
each month look like? How would your recycling plan change the
look of this graph?
By
answering these questions you will create a recycling plan that
will help your school redirect recycled material from the garbage
to the recycling bin. Later you will monitor and adjust your plan
based on data you collect on how effective your recycling plan is.
